Setting Animal Head Types:

Click on the tools and setting button. (Located on the main tool bar - see below)

Under the settings menu select “Animals and Sections”

Click on the “…” button located under the Head Types section on the far right. (be sure to select the one associated with the animal you would like to modify)

The Head Types box will appear. Click on the “Add new head type” button on the bottom left of the box. This will create a new blank column.

Type the new Head Description, Head Fee, and Processing Fee.

Repeat the process if another Head Type is needed.

Click the “Done” button to save and exit this screen.

Adding Sections to your Animals

Each animal type can be split into sections. Example if you have a Deer you would want to separate the deer into Cuts, Sausage, and Other. You many have another term for you sections so we allow you to change these. See example of Beef sections below:

Once you have your sections you need to go into the Inventory section of MeatBooks, and then under the Cuts tab you will add your cuts and prices for that animal.
